how do i make an mp3 cd?

I looked all over the web and all they tell me is just how to convert a mp3 to wav...

I also tried nero (older version) and easycdcreator and they just wanted to convert the mp3 to wav. Do i have to purchase a newer version of nero or is there some other way i can create an mp3 cd?
 
define "mp3 cd". Are you talking about a regualr audio CD using MP3's for source files, or a cd for use in an MP3-CD player?
 
I'd like to know too. My mp3's show up at about 5 MB but a CD fills up with just 15 of them. That should only be 75 MB but Nero shows that I have used up all of the CD. Maybe FB is having the same problem as me?

That's because you're making an audio cd and your software is converting your mp3s to CD Audio. Make a data cd.

Thanks, I have always wondered how to make an MP3 CD and now I know.

Now I gotta find a good portable MP3 player with FM tuner, think CostCo had a Panasonic for around $79.
 
I make mp3 cd's all the time for my truck cd player...

JVC CD-RW MP3 player deck + 600 watt Kenwood AMP + 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch subs = drooling sound...

The 4 regular stock speakers in my truck are powered by the deck itself... for being an old truck those speakers have damn nice sound and don't distort when bass gets up there...
 
yes, mp3s are simply compressed audio files. computers and mp3 players can read these data files. audio cds are decompressed/uncompressed audio which is why you can only fit a few tracks on a cd. switch your burning program fromd audio to data.


remember, decompressing a mp3 to a cd audio file does not make it cd quality, only really big mp3 quality😛 if you recompress that decompressed mp3 into a mp3 again you will lose quality.

I should get one of those MP3 players... I just need to hurry up and configure my Linux box to burn cds this weekend so I can do it. (it's a server so it's a great system to burn stuff...just gotta figure out Samba) 😉
 
i love you guys!

stupid nero gave me the wrong impression when i clicked "audio cd", it said "select the audio files you want (wav, mp3, wma) and drag and drop into..."
 
hehe...no more mp3 cd burning for me. I'm gonna ditch my mp3 cd player and pick up a Nomad Jukebox Zen soon. I'd really like a 30 or 40 gig player, though...I already have about 20 gigs of mp3s as it is. Oh well, maybe I'll convert them all over to WMA to save some space. 🙂
