How do I make a video CD out of an avi movie?

Just as the subject says. I want to make a cd that I can play in my DVD player that will play a movie. The movie is in avi format. Also, can I put 3 movies on the same CD and somehow link them together?

You can only put 80 minutes of video on a VCD. The AVI has to be converted into an MPEG before you burn it, then use your CD burning software's video CD mode to burn it. Nero works well for this and it will convert the file for you, but most people will recomend using TMPGenc, but read the VCD help files first, they'll give you a good idea of what's going on.
