How do I make a CF card bootable

I'm trying to flash my video card with a new BIOS, and I don't have access to a floppy drive, and I couldn't get into NVFLASH from a bootable cd for some reason.

Is there anything special I need to do to make my CF card bootable (using a USB card reader)? When I set the boot device to the card reader in the BIOS it gets to the verifying DMI pool data stage and just stops...

Download the utility at this LINK - it's an HP Utility to format a USB memory stick and make it bootable(if you so choose). Just follow the prompts - very easy to set up. I've used it on MANY different manufacturer's memory sticks and all have worked great, as well as some CF card reader adapters for USB. 🙂

Glad I was able to help some folks out. 🙂

With the advent of many PCs now supporting USB bootable devices, I saw this as a great way to configure USB bootable memory sticks with the necessary drivers and DOS-based GHOST client so I could very quickly boot up a station and either connect to a Ghost server or just GHOST locally from one drive to another. 🙂
