How do i make a bank transfer?

I have to send money to a bank account in Germany ASAP (must send euros). The guy has given me a bunch of info such as depositor, bank name, routing #, etc. I went to western union's website but I can't find anything that allows me to enter that bank information. It seems someone has to go pick up the money. What do I do??

Thanks!

You can't use Western Union for a bank transfer. Like Zugzwang said, go to your local bank, and be prepared to pay a hefty fee.

Go to your local bank and let them know you want to send an INTERNATIONAL WIRE TRANSFER to Germany in foreign currency.

Either yes they can do it or no they can't.

International Wire Transfers usually cost around $40 - $50 to send and make sure you have the bbk's (beneficiary bank's) BLZ code.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to PM me.

My Credit Union charges $15 for an International Wire Transfer. It's still a lot of money but it seems to be a very common way of fund transfer in Europe. They use a wire transfer like we use checks it seems. I'd bet they don't have to pay much for wire transfers, if anything (but I don't know)

those fees seem kind of small considering i'm sending $800. the western union fee would have been $70! no, i'm not getting ripped off, it's a reputable business.

In that case, the bank fees are perfectly fine if WU is going to rip you off by charging $70.

I just had a customer ask me today how to get money to Europe then I thought of this thread and chuckled. I told them how to do it.

So have you asked your bank yet? What did they say?

Perhaps you could tell us what this transfer is for? Many people have gotten ripped off by sending money overseas. I'm not accusing you of being ripped off, but it might be a good idea to let us know.

Psst.. maybe he doesn't want us to know he's ordering a mail-bride, so stop asking!

I don't think that's any of our business.

If he gets ripped off, it's his own damned fault - we even forewarned him.

Careful...... There aren't many reasons to wire cash to another country. Hope you aren't getting ripped off.
