How do I low level format Toshiba laptop hdd?

hi,

does anybody know how to do a low level format on toshiba hdd? the laptop one?


maybe a link to the utility that can do that?

Why exactly do you think you need to do a low level format?
Do you understand what a low level format does?
Are you aware that you will most likely kill the drive and at the very least limit its usability if the drive will even allow this many will not?


If you understand the above and still wish to continue the only place you will find a utillity for this is from Toshiba.

I understand about it. I have bad sectors and currently I am not in the US. I was hoping to be able to erase the bad sectors by doing it.

Bad Sectors are physically damaged parts of the hard drive. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it. Try running ScanDisk since that can possibly recover data and stake out bad sectors as "No-Go-Zones".

I think I'm gonna try hdd regenerator first. I heard from my friends that it would be able to fix bad sectors.

not 100% sure but he did on his and it worked
