Gf's dad is having surgery for his cancer... he could die. So this is very important.

I have the name of the surgeon but I want to find all possible information on this guy.

Any websites that can tell you licenses/certifications and number of complaints filed against a surgeon?

This is all I could find:

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

look up the licensing board for the type of surgery he is accredited for - most will have physician lookup

I looked at his licensing board, all they said he is licensed.

I found this:
Esophageal cancer occurs in approximately 13,500 Americans per year, causing about 12,500 deaths

Looks like the surgeon doesn't really matter.. :=

Considering proximity to the lymphatic system, I would imagine it's a tough cancer to stop from metastasizing and beat. It seems most cases are already spread by the time they're diagnosed. Merck's website states 5% survival at 5 years out.

My sympathies for you and your gf and her father for the upcoming battles, OP. Best of luck.
