Hey everyone.. okay here is what hpapened to mee..

i have 2 hard drives, 1 has two partitions, each with 2 os', win2k, and win98se.. i needed more space in my win98se so in win2k, i've decided to give win98se partition some more space as well, so i used partition magic to give more space. it worked and i restarted my computer, but then upon loading win2k in bootmagic, it gave me a blue screen of death saying that it oculd not find a mouhid.sys file, .. so i've tried to reinstall win2k by using the emergency recovery option in the install cd.. i let the install go for 5 hours and yet it did not still finish, i know my computer isn't that slow, typically it takes only 2 hours for a win2k install..,

well what i'm asking is that since i am using my win98se partition right now, i can't see the win2k partition at the same time, but i need a way to access the win2k partition so i can at least back up some of my files before i reinstall everything again..

so is there a way i can see both partitions at the same time??

thanks for your time

hmmm...tough one, maybe that's why there haven't been any posts yet...

my guess is that your partition information was not redone correctly as has happened to me before (recently, actually...)

i used EasyRecovery, it's kinda pricy but does a great job of recovering files from these problems...download the free version to see what it can recover for you...

i don't know of anything short of using debug to see what is there, and debug wouldn't actually help you get any of it back...

look like you'll have to do this the hard way!

If Win2k didn't get completely screwed up, try using the Recovery console and use DOS to backup the files. I will take a long time if there are a lot of files to backup.

NTFS for Windows 98

Also, you can use Partition Magic to convert the NTFS partition back to FAT32.
