How Do I log into my System Administrator Account?

I started using this computer as the Windows XP Pro "Administrator", but certain functions were not available to me. I then created another administrator account, and called it "the User". My question is, how do you access the "Administrator" settings from this new account? How do you log into the default "Administrator" account that is booted when you first start using XP Pro? Thanks.

That is definately not the case. I log off and there is only one account available, and that is the new admin account, called "the User".

Well....it's easy to see the accounts. Right click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE. You will see USER MANAGER in the left pane. From here, you can modify/add/delete all the accounts on the PC.

Ok, I went there and found the account. It is at the top of the list and just above the Guest acccount and is described as, "Built in Account for administering the computer/domain". Below that is "the User". I am logged on as "the User". When I log into XP, the only option available is to log in as "the User". Either, A: I want to log in as the built in Admin again, or B: I want to change modify the folders in the built in Admin account when I am logged in as "the User". When I attempt to change the built in Admin files, it says access is denied.

You need to go in and change the logon procedure so that you type in a username rather than getting the "Welcome" screen. It's down in Control Panels, under Account Management, I think. Then just type in the user name "Administrator" (no quotes, obviously) and the password. You can also give any account administrator rights from the same control panel (once you're logged in as the admin, that is).

No you do not NEED to change the logon screen at all.

If you are using the pretty Windows XP, you can press ctrl + alt + delete twice to switch to the standard logon screen, from there you can login as administrator like you normally would.
