How do I legally change my middle name?

Looking for some info on how to go about changing my middle name. I'd really appreciate any help.
 
probably same way you change your first name... although its a lot of hassle for not alot of gain
 
Go down to your local county courthouse where they process stuff like marriage certificates. I think you can get paperwork there. You need to fill out forms for Social Security to inform them of the change after it takes place.

Last time I checked SSA's name don't mean jack. My DL, SS card, tax return forms and passport all have different middle name and initial. WTF? I told the DMV ho I'd like to use the my SS card and tax return forms name, but she said I need to bring in my birth certificate. Say WHAT?

My apologies for causing you such great grief in your sad sad life. I went ahead and did "3 minutes of simple research" and all I could find were places trying to charge me money for informational packets. I turned to this forum because there are a massive amount of members... out of over 100,000 somebody just might know. And hey, sure enough within *2* minutes somebody gave me the simple information.

If questions like these really trouble you that much, I feel really bad for you. Relax, have another one of those beers, and try doing something productive for once.
 
PS. No, they didn't teach me how to do this in high school. Maybe I missed the day where my teacher said "Class, today we're going to learn how to legally change your name in the state of Wisconsin. Being highschoolers, this quite possibly be more important than learning how to balance a check book. Open up to pages..."

Within two minutes on the phone you could have gotten the same information and more!
