If you are getting a boxed AMD Processor, go to here and type in the code on the box.

what i meant was .. even the amd website does not distinguish between the various cores of AMD cpus ... nor do they have classification/website etc for each of them .. so no one knows abt it ..
i dont know if they ship their products on the core basis .. atleast in india the dealers simply sell by AMD Athlon 64 3200 + .. what they at max know is the pin(939/754) it uses as this information is available on the amd website ..

even that page doesnt give the core name .. tough it gives other details abt the cpu .. and this information is available on amd website ..
what is not available is the core name ( viz .. Venice , san diego .. etc.. )

so i wanna know how do i ask my vendor as to which core he is giving .. as there is no info on box either ...

thanks in advance ,,

That would be a Venice because of the "BP" in the code name.
