Hi, I just got AMD 2100+. I was just wondering what stepping that I got. Which one is better? Ariora or Agioa in term of OC ing?

Thanks

I know you guys said Y and W but whre do I see that?

Thanks

i am not sure about stepping, but u can find out what chipset u got either in the POST (sometimes it tells u), or just look up the motherboard on the manufacturer's website.

I am not sure if I got it right... you I can go to the mobo BIOS and see what chipset that I got?

I can't really see from the chipset serial number or something else without opening it?

Thanks

I just answered your PM about this...

Btw he is asking about the stepping not the chipset (looks like maybe a language barrier).

Also, one more thing I forgot to add -- to see whether it's a 'Y' 'W' '9' or anything else, look at the line directly below the line with the stepping, and it's the FIRST number/letter of that line.

Good luck -- let us know what stepping you got!

ok, I got AGOIA, and I have one that has 9 and one that has Y. Which one is better?

Thanks

One is green pcb and one is brown pcb.

Please help before I open the cpu.

Thanks a lot

Only one way to find out 😉
Oc that baby and let us know how it goes. Because it's a 2100+, I think you will be able to oc only through the fsb -- not by increasing the multiplier.

Keep the Y. It's in a green packaging right?? That's a newer one. 🙂
