How do I know if my memory is working in Dual Channel mode?

I have 2X512MB on my DELL 400SC system. How do I know if they are running in Dual Channel mode?

Check your mobo guide. Odds are if it is a newer machine and you have 4 dimm slots, you should have a stick of ram in the 1 & 3 slots to run at dual channel. If you dont have a manual look up your mobo online.

The mobo supports dual channel. Just want to know the memory I put in is, indeed, working in dual channel.

I've never had a Dell, but both my other systems say "Dual Channel Enabled" during the POST screen...

Well if they are in the right slots it will be running at dual channel.

You can doublecheck by using CPU-Z program I believe. Search google for the link, I'm too lazy...haha 🙂
