What the avg for a cpu to be running. Mine is a Duron 1300 no overclock it runs @ 50c and in q3 for awhile bout 54c.
System temps stay @ 36-37c

(q3=quake 3 arena)

Also someone ask if my memory overclock or underclock i dunno, or even how to change it?
ALso i am using the regualr thermal pad that came on the cpu i didnt add anything.

I get this now on my 1 day old post so im made this new one

Those systems temps are pretty high. What is the room temperature where you are ? Given those case temps, 54c for the cpu seems normal, or at least fine. Over 65c would be abnormal.

i'd say those temps. are alright. if you want to bring them down though it wouldn't be that tough. just grab a nice $10 heatsink from newegg or svc and some thermal paste.

With the room at 35c, then a 50c boot-up temp is fine. You need an air conditioner....... That 95 F !!!!!

Did you say you had a 7200 or a 7500 Radeon ? The 7200 isn't very good, but the 7500 is OK. The heat thing can also affect your video card. You said it only does it in games. Take the cover off the PC, and put a big fan (like a house fan) blowing directly in the area of the video card. I only suggest this due to the high ambient temperature in your room(95cf,35c), and the fact that HOT video cards can make a display show "artifacts" or hard-lock.
