That's what it says, starting from PCB version 2.0 these A7N8X Deluxe boards support FSB 400! How do I know that if I order this board from Newegg, that it will be PCB version 2.0?

Also, if it is not PCB version 2.0, can I upgrade to PCB version 2.0? Or is this some hardware related thing on the board not solely software?

Help please!

I just ordered one from Googlegear.com last Thursday and it's PCB version 2.0.

It is hardware related, and I'm pretty sure there's no 'bios update' that will bring it up to a new PCB version. The printed circuit board is permanent hardware.

Okay, but it still would be nice to know if Newegg will not accidently ship the old PCB version. I believe I'm going to order this board anytime now.

Also, is it true that people have experience less problems with this board (especially concerning USB problems) than with the Epox 8RDA+?

I have had so many USB problems with the 8RDA+, it isn't funny anymore. Seems like many other people have been as well. I used to be an Epox fan all the way, but now my mind is starting to shift toward Asus seeing that I have had so many complication with my 8RDA+ :(

Yep, I got one last Weds., ordered Monday. It says Rev. 2.0 on the PCB to the upper right of the A7N8X silkscreen between PCI slots 2 and 3. There is a hardware difference in the north and south bridges; its a different revision SPP with a tweaked memory controller better able to handle 200MHz FSB. The internal codename for the new NB is the Crush-18D, and will be featured in the newer rebadged nForce2 Ultra 400s which should be popping up soon.

The only other difference I saw was a few caps with newer mfg. dates (not a surprise), but also a new SATA controller stepping. That wasn't much of a surprise either, as the SATA controllers on both the A7N8X and NF7-S (both SilImage) have been for the most part, very buggy. Both the NB and SB run MUCH cooler now than before; I had a chipset cooler and fan on my NB and moved the passive cooler to my SB on my 1.04; I haven't needed to for my 2.0. I just replaced the pad with some AS3 and set my FSB to 200MHz. Running 11.5x207MHz at cas 2-2-2-6-1T now. :D

He blew his up I think...

As for the 400mhz FSB we'll (as in non Rev2.0ers) get that through bios updates...right? I bought this sucker a few months ago knowing it was going to handle bartons...and well it better ;)
