I went to the page that is supposed to have the installation program but it seems that the link has changed. What should I do?

I could be mistaken, but I was under the impression that the GammaFlux project was no more.

EDIT: Yep, did a quick look through the TeamAnandtech site news archives - look HERE

"Well, I regret to inform you guys that DSI, the entity that ran and funded Dcypher.net, has folded." -- May 24, 2001

This would explain why you can't join the Gamma Flux team, but fortunately, Team Anandtech is involved in many other projects too, so please consider becoming a member of one of those. :)

That's too bad; I was so excited about helping the environment, reversing my earth-destroying ways. I joined the RCxxxx thing and I just completed my first work unit!!! HOW EXCITING! I think some entrepreneur should set up a company that sells work units to companies and then gives money to people who complete the work units. That would be schway. I could finally generate some cash flow so I can get that Thermalright SLK-800!

You have no idea how much we want to see a for pay DC project. If successful it would be huge.

There are lots of distributed projects available. Go to this site for a large list of current projects that are running. You might find something else that interests you.

Gamma Flux died a long time ago which was kinda a shame as it was one of the few projects that could run on a machine with absolutely no internet connection and never stop crunching away and only needed a net connection to flush (or the units could simply be put on disk and flushed on another machine).

Just a slightly OT comment here - if you're looking for one of the very few other projects that will run in this way, I suggest you give ECCp-109 a try. :)
