I recently built myself a new computer, but I regretfully left out dealing with my printer. It's a Compaq 1400P. Currently it is uninstalled bc I can't just automatically plug it in and have it work, of course. I'm away at college so I don't have any of the stuff that came with the printer. My question is, does/did this printer come with an installation cd? It's been so long since I got it onto my old computer that I don't even remember. And secondly, does anyone know how I can get an installationg cd off the internet? Or any other suggestions?

BLAAAARRRG!!!

Try looking at drivershq.com and see what you can find. You might want to try installing Win98 drivers or Win2000 drivers to see what happens - then again, investing in a new printer might not be a bad idea considering Compaq sucks at everything they do (except the Pocket PC platform stuff, but even then, they are overrated).
