I just got my Tekram 390U3W controller and IBM LZX hd.
I was gonna install xp, but forgot I don't have a boot disk, and
the other os boot disks have only ide cdrom support.
How do I install if I can't load of the scsi cd rom support?
Assuming you have the driver disk for the SCSI card, just boot off the CD Rom, start the install, press F6 to install SCSI driver, and you're on your way...
i belive the manual is telling you to change the bios settings for the scsi card's bios. i know that with my 2940uw, there is an option in the scsi bios to enable cd-rom boot support.
... On my Adaptec's there is also an option to select which device ID boots....
check if this option is present in your scsi bios and choose the CDROM id as the
boot id!
