I'm 6' 1" and female. My brother's 6' 9" and my sisters are just as tall as I. Ironically, I thought I was done growing at age 17 when I was still 5' 11". Suddenly I picked up.
I think that it's genetic really, as my grandmas, both maternal and paternal were tall. Nevertheless, I think that how much height you're likely to achieve depends on how you feed your body during growth stage. We sure got too much and healthy stuff. Not that I'm an expert at all. . . .
GoBadgrs, you're at an advantage because you would be at the door level (so you won't have to bend too much), but my brother literally always has to bend significantly or else he gets his head slammed. :Q I guess there's the good and the bad indeed.
[Millenium:]
"A surgery that many Asian countrys perform can increase your height. They saw you leg bones in half and then put in pieces of metal and your leg bone grows back longer. You will not be able to walk for about a year and it is very expensive.
You could get the shoes that give you and extra 2-3 inches and look very inconspicious."
I think I've heard about it before. Isn't it usually offered to midgets, dwarfs or something like that? I saw a documentary on it, on the Discovery Channel. Some midgets or dwarfs perceived it as a sell out if they made the stretch. This was in the USA (that I saw the report), not Asia.
