How do I go about installing routers in a daisy chain?

i have asked a different question in this thread earlier, but i guess there is no easy solution for that problem, unfortunately.

since we have two routers at our disposal, i thought we could use them both if possible. is there a way I can hook up a router into a 'parent' router hooked up directly to the cable modem?

just hook a crossover cable from one of the regular switch ports to switch port.

so i take it i am not supposed to use the "uplink" port, right? time to go look for that crossover cable... is there anything i would have to change in the router settings? everything is done by DHCP on this network btw.

turn off DHCP on the second ("Inside") router. Now put some tape over the uplink port, and the word "Router" on the bezel. Write "Joe Johnson's switcher diverse"
