How do I get to the command prompt?

In Win 98se it lets you restart the computer at the command prompt. How do you do it in Win2K?

Hmmmm. I did not know this. OK so I have a machine I want to format and reinstall the OS. What is the best way to do it if I can't get to the command prompt?

boot from the 2k cd

You can't restart and expect to get to the command prompt.

Firstly, you can use the boot disk (admin password required)
Secondly, you can go to start > run... > type "cmd"
Thirdly, you can use the CD.

And if you don't have a bootdisk then go to www.bootdisk.com🙂

That's not entirely true guys, you can also install the Recovery Console to the
system partition.
