How do I get to pure dos mode in WindowsXP so I can flash my Mboard Bios?????

Righto, what the other guy said. To expand on that, WinXP is based on Windows NT, which IS NOT dos based, UNLIKE Win9x / ME

So WinXP doesnt have DOS at all, only emulation.

Thats why you need a bootdisk.
