My speakers are making a loud humming sound. Its getting kind of annoying. Got any ideas how to get rid of it? I've tried pushing the speaker plug further into the sound card.

thanks

What is your volume set to? I get a hum too when I have my sound up high and no input, its just how the amp is.

I know what you mean soy, but I get this even when I have music playing, funny thing is that when i push down on the case, it goes away. I think it may be some kind of resonance of some sort. Its gone now though. Hopefuly it wont come back

Make sure no cables carrying power are running in parallel to the speaker cables. That'll give you some nasty hum, too.

Ah yes, little cooties running down the wires...

Quell comes to mind... then proper connections & shielding..

Hum is usually from line 60 Hz, from inadequate grounding.
