I was using a dual boot of Win98 and Win2K, my work was on Win98 and I needed some more room. So I deleted the Win2K partition and formatted it back to FAT32 so it could be seen and used in Win98. Now is there a way to get rid of the OS selection menu on boot up without damaging the remaining Win98?

That FAQ doesn't cover what he's asking though. He didn't remove W98 - he kept it, and wants to remove ntldr.exe and friends from the 98 partition.

So... I don't know. :) Could be something as simple as removing ntldr and doing a "sys c:", but I would wait for someone else's opinion. A quick and dirty solution would be to edit boot.ini, set the default to Win98, and set the timeout to 0.

Edit the boot.ini file remove the line multi...... for Windows k line and it shouldn't prompt you at all if there is only the 98 arc path listed
