How do i get rid of the ugly sky texture problem in Q3A with my geforce3?

i got the ugly textures. how do i get rid of it anyone?

Method 1: Turn off texture compression in Q3

seta r_ext_compressed_textures "0"

in your q3 config file.

Method 2: Force DXTC3 instead of DXTC1. Get a tweak utility like nVmax. There is a setting under compatibility that will have the option to force DXTC3. It can also be done via reg entry, but how and where depends on the OS you run.
