How do I get rid of Lavasoft's Web Companion?

I've uninstalled it from the control panel but every time I look up my startup processes under 'msconfig' it says it's still set to load on startup. I uncheck the box, restart my computer, look again and it's right back where it was before.

Am I missing a registry key somewhere or is this just forever in my system?

That program is widely considered 'malware' or a 'Pup' (potentially unwanted software) by most anti-malware programs. If you run malwarebytes it should find some leftovers and also run ADWCleaner (by Malwarebytes). Those two should remove the remnants.
