i have a T40 im probably going to want to sell soon, and while i do run windows on it presently (as i dual-boot into linux) its not exactly what *should* be on here. the laptop still has a key on it for XP Pro, but the restore partition was gone when i bought this (it was used) and i expect whoever buys it will want windows xp on it alone (im likely to ebay it, or put it on craigslist)
i tried to contact lenovo, and got to some support thing where they said theyll call me, but i havent gotten a call, and honestly dont expect any help given the age of the machine anyway.
what can i do to get a copy of windows on here so i can use the key on the laptop and have the it legitimately installed?
