Comes up as 800MHz with DDR@400 and won't complete POST. System works fine with regular AXP2500+. I cleared CMOS and tried booting with hw safemode 100MHz FSB. Nada.

I know lots of people bought these mobile chips. BTW, this chip works in a Soyo board SY-K7VME, but oc options are limited there.

bump for you. The thing that struck me about this post is that i use that MB, which i don't see on here real often, and then you mentioned a SOYO board that i also owned but sold a few weeks back. You sir, have good taste in motherboards. 😉

OK, I got it to POST. AXP-Ms are unlocked, right? How likely am I to get up to 2.2GHz like reg AXP? How far beyond?

Yeah, They are unlocked.

Make sure it's a real mobile though. Check the steppings and go HERE to confirm.

Go into BIOS and set the multi to 11 and the FSB to 166mhz. Then jump her up to 200FSB.

Mine does 2.2ghz on 1.55 or less vcore. Does 2.4ghz on 1.55vcore too.

Yeah, it's a mobile. I can get it to do 2GHz using 12x166, but it won't do anything at FSB200, even with multi at 7x
