So.....what do i do? I know there must be a way to do flashes when your using this operating system. Can someone fill me in on what I need to do.

Thanks.

Well, XP and 2k are "dos free" but there is the command line. Type cmd in the run box.

You will need a MS Dos boot disk, I don't think when you flash the bios anything is writen to the hard drive so if you are using NTFS it shouldn't be a problem. You might want to read you mobo's manual (if you don't have it any more then usually the manufacture has an online version).

go here & download the basic boot floppy for flashing bios etc, copy it on to a floppy together with your bios flasher & bin file then boot from the floppy & flash!

You can also go to "start - All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt" - If you use it a lot, drag a shortcut out to the Desktop.

As Saltin said, it's not really DOS, but all the familiar DOS commands are available.

Not a good idea to flash your BIOS from here, instead build a boot floppy like the others have suggested.

In Windows XP:

start>My computer>place floppy in a: drive>right click on a: drive>Format:>check "create an MSDOS startup disk"

You can either follow the link given by bacillus to create a boot disk or you can simply put the awdflash.exe and the bios file onto a floppy and press AL T+F2 when starting the computer. the second method will need your biso support.
