How do I get a blood stain offa pair of jeans?

I recently had a bloody nose and a few drips got on my jeans. Any ideas on how to get it off prior to washing?

Just don't put it in a HEATED drier.

Don't get it hot! Spray the area with some household ammonia / cold water mix, blot, then follow with some Hydrogen Peroxide / blot, until you cant see the stain anymore.
