How do I get 1680x1050 res working on BF2?

I cant seem to get it working, even with changin the target to:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1650 +szy 1080

If that is an exact copy of your shortcut line you have the res numbers wrong. It's 1680x1050

i still cant change it to any higher than 11somethingx8something res at 75hz.

try 1600x900
+szx 1600 +szy 900

that's what i use w/ 6600gt and 2005fpw.

if that works then move on to 1680...

are you using demo or retail? I heard there are problems with +szx on retail

i'm using retail. whenever i make the changes to the settings, does it change automatically or do i need to change the res again in the game?

Once you change the shortcut parameters, the res will change automatically with nothing to change by you.

My shortcut reads as follows: "C:\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
