How do I format Windows 2k to install ME fresh??

I tried going to the Dos emulator and hitting format c:, but I knew that wouldn't work.

I want to totally format this drive, and I need to install a fresh copy of ME on the machine.

How do I format the machine and start over?? Thanks for the help!

Get a Win98 boot floppy (from www.bootdisk.com if you don't have one) and "format c:".

Though why you would ditch 2K for ME???....

Actually,

This isn't for me. I currently have FreeBSD on my laptop and I love it.

however, my friend is a musician, doesn't care about puters, and only understand ME and thats all he cares to understand. He uses a lot of music programs, so I tried getting him to run win2k, but he had problems.

I went to bootdisk.com and downloaded the WINME.EXE boot disk file. However, is this boot disk, once made, particular to the system it was made on, or can I make the bootdisk on my puter and run it on his??

Also, we want to completely, in every essence of the word, completely reformat his drive to the point it was when the drive was new. Do I launch the boot disk and immediately enter format C:????
