Take plane from California, in general it won't be cheap in strict sense, Hawaii is as far from US as much as Europe is.

become a merchant seaman. Now in today's world that means you blow the crew the entire time

Swim. Not only will you save money...but you SHOULD lose weight during the trip.

im not sure what you are looking for, there is no magical cheap way to fly there. it's a long flight from the west coast so it's not going to be cheap unless there is some special deal that just happens to come along. look at prices on wednesdays because that is when they are the cheapest. check out hawaiian or any of the other major US companies that fly there. and avoid spirit air at all costs (if they even fly there).

Depends on what you want. If it's just a round trip ticket, hit the airline sites and book well in advance, it's pretty cheap that way. If you need a hotel and a car the package deals are pretty hard to beat.
If you know WhoseYourDaddy (banned member, hangs out at the kingdom of crap) hit him up for a place to stay and some manseks (you'll need beer for that).
