ARite, I read all the instructions on Soyo's website to flash my BIOS. I copied the AWD flash and the bios file onto my disk and tried to boot with the disk in the A drive, but it diddnt work! ACk!

I need to have my computer boot from the A: drive so i can use the awdflash.exe file. Im using win2k. Any help would be appreicated.

UPDATE:

I successfully flashed my BIOS, but every update I do causes Windows to freeze 5-10 seconds after it logs in... ack!!!
After many unsucessful tries with 3 diffrent bios revisions, I had to revert to my old BIOS.
From what I learned from my old problem Link , I need to flash my BIOS.

So... pretty much... is there something im missing after I flash my BIOS? I know for sure im using the correct ones (rite off the soyo website)

You need to get either a: a win9x winxp boot up disk, or b) download a boot up disk from the internet. and put them on a disk to get to dos prompt.
You can go to bootdisk.com and they should have the stuff to make them.

Maybe you did this, can't tell, but....
usually after you flaxh the bios
you have to set everything back to default setting and go into BIOS and
do your own settings.
