How do i Flash a Geforce FX 5900 into a Quadro ??

I Dont want to spend $1000 on a Quadro but i still want a workstation card that will work great in 3Dmax VIZ this card is used for work not for games.

This is the case with cards from both manufacturers, you need to solder connectors on the chip. And then you need a BIOS to flash it with. Both operations are risky.

Google it. You need rivatuner, and it'll patch your drivers, then you just select the quadro drivers for your 5900
 
softquadro4 was only meant for geforce 4 cards, my ti-4200 runs nicely as a quadro 780 xgl. the guy who wrote softquadro stopped working on it so there is no softquadro fx planned. but check the website for it, its russian, but in the forums, there's an english section... many ppl have been looking into modding their geforce fx cards into quadro fx. i'm not sure if anyone was successful but that would be the best place on the internet to look for help.
 
you dont need to. the only thing it would help you with is having more accelerated opengl windows open at once, and 3dsmax wont push the card as is. programs like inventor, solidworks or pro e would benefit, but even then only after you open 10 or more windows.

Looks like Rivatuner Forums have all the info there thanx for the help in pointing me in the right direction.

And it looks like allot of people have modded thier Geforce FX 5900 into Quadro FX 3000... hope i'm just as lucky.

some people can't afford 1000 dollar cards, but they can afford 199 dollar cards. duh.
 
so car mods are ripping off the car companies?

sure it voids the warranty but there is no law against it afaik.

you buy it, you can do whatever you want to it.
