how do I find the IP ranged owned by a domain?

I need it for work so I need to know the range of several. but for starters

or how bout, "can be used by"
I remember I was able to get this info last year
I found the ip range that's reserved for my college

Maybe we are just using different terms, but you still can't find out what IP's are 'owned' by a domain since the domain doesn't own them. You can mine the set of ip's used by the domain, which is likely to be a subset of the ip's owned the company (or the isp as the case may be). What are you trying to determine?

Assuming you know an IP that the domain uses, just type:
whois 000.000.000.000

and it will tell you the name of the company and what block of IP's they're able to use
