how do i find out my WPM?

how do i find out my words per minute? I'm applying to a job that requires a high words per minute, but im not sure what mine is. I'm guessing around 70+ but not sure. Is there a web page or something that checks my WPM?

heh.. try gettin ahold of some typing software! heh.. i dunno.. thats the only way i ever recorded my wpm.. i would be interested in finding out as well if a website did this..


or you could just find an article or essay or book or something... simply go into yer word processor and type for a minute or two as fast as ya can.. then find out how many words... depending on the article you pick the avg word length will vary.. but its a good enough guess.. btw, you might want to "test" yourself over a 2 or 3 minute span.. cuz normally when yer office typing you dont just type for 60 seconds

type for one minute, count hopw many words you typed. How fricking tough is that?

there are typing test programs out there. try www.download.com and do a search.

you can also use ms word and type for 5 mins and then use the built in word counter to see how fast you type.

I'm gettin glike 90+ WPM w/ about 80%+ accuarcy, i guess that's pretty good =)

81 wpm with 85% accuracy on the first
93 wpm with 87% accuracy on #2
89 wpm with 65% accuracy on #3

.. hrm.. faster then i thought i tyyped... i wonder why so many errors tho prolly got bored by #3

You got more errors because you were trying to type faster than you normally would.
