I've been trying to make a vintage PCI firewire card (i.e. 1997 or so) work in my w2k machine... yes I know, it probably won't - but the manual mentioned support for NT so it's worth a shot...

I have some of the files i need. - all except 1 i believe. when i update the driver, the machine wants to get a file called TILYNX.SYS, which is the Texas Instruments' driver for The Lynx-OHCI chipset...

if anyone is running Win98, I believe the above file is part of the driver collection on your CD. would someone be kind enough to email this to me?

or else, what is a good place to look for individual files like this???

I though this topic was about old people & driving....

EDIT:

Have the cab files for Win 3.1 to NT 4.0 and didn't find it.

I know this isn't much help, but you are correct about this file being with win98. It is in the driver20.cab cabinet file. I have the image of a win98 CD but my main comp is currently down. I would be able to get it off but the drive is SATA.
