How do I fade windows and programs?

On the friday desktop threads i'v seen people fade winamp, AIM, ect.

How can this be done?

you mean transparency? i think it's in the skin for winamp... and as far as aim goes... i think they might have been using trillian or something else. there are also programs that let you make any window transparent if you're using win2k or xp.

I'm assuming you're talking about making windows transparent. There are programs available on the net that do that.....Glass2k is one that I've seen mentioned recently that makes windows transparent and AIM+ is a program for AIM that makes it transparent and has some other cool stuff (ad removal, chat logs, etc)

Check out windowFX... I believe you can get it from download.com

Its a great program and works very well with XP, allows fading and transparency for any program.
