How do I enter windows safe mode on Gigabyte DS-3 bootup? F8 doesn't work

I haven't dealt with a Gigabyte board for ages so this is a pure guess, but is there an option to disable the "Logo" or "Picture" while POST and did you disable it? On my board (ASUS) it shows a few options after disabling that logo thing.

In Windows:

1. Start -> Run and enter msconfig
2. Go to Bootl.ini and click on /safeboot
3. Reboot
4. Do what you need to do
5. Repeat Step 1 and 2 but this time unclick /safeboot
6. Reboot

Are you using a USB keyboard? I noticed that if you set USB Keyboard Support to Disabled in BIOS, my USB keyboard doesn't work during bootup. But it does work on the POST screen to enter BIOS, which is weird. I keep a PS2 adapter plugged in so I can switch it around when I need it, or you can change that BIOS setting.
