High i just built my new computer amd 1.4 with a pioneer 106s dvd drive. I was told that the video qualitiy would be great. however, the video is not smooth and is jumpy at times. It mentioned somewhere to change to dma mode. what does this mean. I could use some help here. Oh and im using windvd 2.2

I'm assuming your running Windows 9x. To enable UDMA on your DVD, right click My Computer, select properties, click the device manager tab, click the plus aside of CD-ROM drives, select your drive, click properties, click the settings tab, check the DMA box, click OK, acknowledge the dialog box warning, then reboot. Should work. DMA mode increases the transfer rate from your drives by allowing the devices direct access to system memory. Hope this helps..:)
