Heres my set up.

2 physical hard drives on primary connection.

drive C, 4gig is master and has win98 installed on it
drive D, 30gig is slave and has programs, downloads, mp3s, games and other crap filling 15gigs

What I want to do is install winxp to the D drive to dual-boot. Then I want switch my 30gig drive to become master on that cable and switch my 4gig drive to slave (still having win98 on it.)

Can I do this?
Plus, by installing winxp on the 30gig drive, will it erase all my 15gigs of stuff on it? I don't want to format.

let me rephrase.

After I install WinXP on my D drive, can I switch the D drive to become master and C (with win98 on it) to become slave?
I still want to use my 15gigs worth of data on the D drive, can it work this way?

Try installing Win98SE first onto the D partition, then install XP afterwards on the C partition, this should work...
