I have 10 machines to setup in a network, i already have it setup with the DSL and the router and a basic network setup, but they want to change it a bit and have the following setup...

They want to be able to do sort of like a school/average job that requires using computer setup, in which you can login with a your username and password from any computer in the network and it loads your own profile with all your files saved in the my documents folder, the same icons you left in the desktop, your own background, exactly what you want, but with the fact that you can login at any computer in the network.

thats the first step.

I already have a server its a duron 800mhz with 2x512mb and a 128mb stick. its running 2 hd's not fast and big, but i think good enough? its one 8gb 5400 as primary and as secondary a 4gb 5400 one, the only other add-on is a 10/100 mbit card.

I setup Windows 2000 Server on it already and somewhat setup active directory, but im willing to redo it if i need to do something different or you guys recommend i do it a different way, or keep it like it is.
thanks, ill post more after i get some replies.

sounds like something called "roaming profiles".

try searching MS knowledge base. I'm not too keen on server stuff.
