Soon I will be going off to college, and I want to make sure that no one other than me will be able to access my personal files. Is there a way that I can enter a password on startup, which lets me access all my stuff, or someone else could enter there password, which lets them access their files, background, etc, and if no password is entered, only the basic windows programs will be loaded/accessable?
I'm using win98 btw.
Thanks a lot

Go into Control Panel, you'll see an icon called "Users". It will allow you to do what you want. Be warned, no security on the file system in Win98, you and your friends will have your own profiles, but you will be able to access all the files on the hard disk.

This ain't NT.
