How do I do Q3 benchmarks?

Yeah, this is a question that's probably been asked and answered a million times, but I did a search and nothing came up.

I'm looking specifically how to display FPS under a timedemo or however websites obtain video benchmark scores in Quake III.

I just got an Asus 7100 Geforce2 MX 32mb video card to replace the 16mb version that's in there now. I'll post the results. Any takers if there'll be a difference at 1024x768x32?

cg_drawfps 1 will show realtime fps

timdemo 1
demo demo001 or (002) will benchmark it.

maybe just maybe... you will see a differnce from your old 256kb video card

Thank you. I tried that and....it didn't work. I just found out why. Apparently v1.25 (the version I'm currently running) disables timedemos. Doh!

It won't work unless you use the / I do believe.

/timedemo 1
/demo demo001

or

/timedemo 2
/demo demo002
