During boot, my main machine has 2 fail XP installations in additional to the Windows 2000. This is getting very annoying. My other machine has both Windows 2000 and XP, but I need to remove XP because I hate it. XP looks almost as bad as OS X.

Could someone please tell me how to disable the Windows Boot Manager?

It also looks like the XP installation had renamed the Windows 2000 directory from "/windows" to "/winnt". Is that right? Anyway, I need to remove XP from my machines.

thanks in advance,

You've got me a bit confused. There's no way it would've renamed your 2000 directory to Winnt from Windows. I think 2000 is Winnt, and XP is Windows, but I do not see how they could've ended up on the same partition. If you could provide Partition info, and which partition each Windows is installed, it would be very helpful. What you're gonna need to do is modify Boot.ini and delete XP from the Boot Menu, and then set the default OS to 2000 with a timeout of 0. I will explain this later.

both Win2000 and XP were installed by me in the same partition.

I can't fine boot.ini. Is it hidden? The Win2000 that I'm using is the Taiwan edition, maybe that's the problem.

thank for helping
