how do i disable nagware in SP2

expecially that thing at the top of IE that new bar that appears that keeps stuff from running on the page and also keeps me from downloading, anyway i can disable taht so by default it will display everything normally like it did in SP1 without nagging me about security?

it's on IE6 Tools > Internet Options... disable pop-up blocker

Rather than disable it completely, why not configure sites that you want to allow popups from?

If you are talking about auto update nags - just set it to on, but use the notify me and ask option. I have gone a week without a nag that way.

My guess (and it is just a guess as I am waiting for SP2 to actually be released) is that Tools -> Internet Options -> Security tab is the first place to look. That looks similar to errors for Active X security dialog boxes etc.

Turning it off would not be a good idea. Mentioning it to Microsoft is not necessary. We have a document that details this and every other web browser security change in SP2.

With Windows XP Service Pack 2, Local Machine Zone Lockdown will be even more restrictive than the Internet zone. Any time that content attempts one of these actions, the Information Bar will appear in Internet Explorer with the following text:

This page has been restricted from running active content that might be able to access your computer. If you trust this page, click here to allow it to access your computer.

The user can click the Information Bar to remove the lockdown from the restricted content.

Looking at the screenshot, it looks like you may have been viewing a page you created...if so, the doc talks about comments you can put in your HTML to allow the page.
