How do I determine my O/C limitation

I'm still new to the o/cing thing but here's what i got. I'm running my duron 700 @ 824(8*103). Anything higher, I get random lockups. I can boot to the desktop and everything looks fine but if I do a timedemo in UT, it will lockup. Temp in the bios, at max, is 45deg C. Case temp at 28deg C. I am at 1.8v also. 3.45 Vio. Here's my setup:

Duron 700@824/ChromeOrb
Msi K7t pro2a
Crucial 256meg pc133 cas 2
10 gig Maxtor 7200
SBlive value
Acer 50x cdrom
Netgear NIC

Here's the question:

Am I at the limit of the CPU?

Do I need more cooling?

Bridges are penciled in. Could this be the problem eventhough I'm getting to the desktop?

I would hate to spend $30-$35 on a new hsf only to find out that the cpu is already maxed out. But wouldn's mind spending the money if I could make it to the 900s

Just trying to find out what the indications are to what my limitation is. Hope my question is not too vague.

Thanks

i'm no overclocking buff, but is 8 the highest multiplier setting u can get? u could probably get 9 out of that thing. try to get the highest multiplier you can get. adjust the voltage accordingly, and see how far u can go with just the multiplier. try not to set the voltage higher than 1.85. since u have a kt133 board, try adjusting the fsb only after you've reached your highest multiplier. check your temps each step of the way.

good luck

btw, use thermal compound if you're not already

Some Chips need more Voltage. Mine is one of them.
Max out the Core voltage then up the 3.3 to 3.6 if that helps go more if not don't.
If you need more Core Voltage use the Level one mod. Here is a link:

Have fun and the Temp is ok for now I have mine running at 56C under load and although that is hot I have seen many machines Hotter.
