Because you never post any of your conservative positions in any relevant thread. Because you seek out conservative posters in social/religious threads and argue the left wing argument in those threads. You seek conflict/debate just like the rest of us, but you where you seek it is defining you in this forum. You don't contradict dave, or steeplerot, or conjur, or bowfinger, or etc. etc. etc. on anything, you seek out instead myself, or ProfJohn, or Shiv, etc. etc. to fight with.

Therefore, you are a leftie! ;)

I don't seek out anyone. I enter threads that intrigue me... Death penalty is a non issue to me, SS is a non issue to me, I always rally for the government to be fiscally conservative, etc etc. You tend to make excuses for people, and I hold them responsible, irregardless of party. In the last 3 years the people responsible were republicans(big majority in congress and presidency)... that isn't my fault... the people who make policy are to be held responsible for their policy... how could I go after democrats when they have 0 power?

The democrats now have a bare minimum majority and still face veto at every turn. They are still spineless in that they don't have the guts to be strong on any issue.. which I criticize. They haven't done much in the last 2-3 months though.... and they are kept in check by the president.. that is the way it is now.. when there is news worthy enough to comment on against the dems, I will.

Just because Shivetya and Nonprofjon spam nonissues like some democrats taking a vacation with taxpayer dollars or one democrat governor in a state says something stupid, doesn't mean they are worthy issues. When an important issue comes along, I'll be there. The spam on this forum of nonimportant issues however has increased 10-fold since January. It is a blatant attempt to attack the democrats without even giving them a chance to have major screwups yet.

Major screwups so far- removing pork oversight agency's reporting, being weak.

Although Im registered as a Dem Im thinking of just registering Indy since I vote on both sides of the aisle, depending on the issue. I tend to be socially liberal, and economically conservative.

Too bad you've admitted to trolling (Oh, I just do it to see how people react!).

I go with "anarchist" just to piss off both sides.

Honestly? This whole partisan deal is stupid, and mindless ""me-too-ism" is a plague. I'm just waiting for "CIVIL WAR, RELOADED".

You're getting caught in the middle of a war between two groups of people that are more worried about labels and appearances than they are with actually fixing anything. It's not your fault.

Also, anyone who insults the bible is automatically a "godless left wing liberal nut", didn't you know that? :p

No, I am saying that because you troll in threads just to get a rise out of people and see their responses that you are a troll. Why should anyone care about the affiliation of someone who admittedly posts to troll?

The Bush crime family has ruined the rule of law. If you think Bush and Cheney are doing a great job, you could be a right winger and or stupid too.

I like to think of myself as a Moderate.

I think helping the poor is a noble act, that my right wing friend says, makes me a lefty.

Its all messed up here in the states.

Truly pathetic actually.

You wonder why no one takes most of you tards seriously.

But hey, its not guys like you and "GOPhatesUSA" that are polarizing the country right? You guys are all open minded moderates just looking for honest debate.

Please dont make me laugh.

The only good that comes out of any of this is that you wackos marginalize yourselves.

Another vote for: Why does it matter?

Just choose your Opinions/Positions using Reason based upon the evidence and don't worry whether it's Right or Left. It also helps to remain open-minded about your positions, sometimes others are right or have more info that helps in formulating a position.

LOL!!

I had a case of "not being able to read the license plate" - for some reason I read his name as "Phates" and he surrounded his name with "GO USA" :D

He'll fit right in here!

Social Security payments come out of the general revenue, and Social Security tax goes into the general revenue, so lets get rid of social security tax and just increase the income tax. Why do we need a separate tax?

Because people who make a lot of money don't pay as much of it into the social security tax, it's the only regressive tax on the books. If we just increased the income tax to cover for it, the tax burden would shift more evenly onto people making over $90k per year, and they'd fight tooth and nail against that.

Wait a minute man. In threads I agree with I say so, in threads I dont, I say so and challenge the argument. This doesnt make me a troll, its makes me someone who appreciates an intelligent conversation even if the other person is on the other side of my own personal beliefs. Unfortunately, most people on here, including yourself, dont want to discuss, they just want to throw out kindegarten namecalling, and label me a troll. The topic and responses in this thread are regarding political affiliations. Did you get lost in the thread somewhere and lose your way? I was stating where I stood politically. And you call me a troll for doing so?

Whatever man. If it makes you feel better...

I never name call and I called you a troll because you admitted it in another thread. Matter of fact, you told it to me! You said you like to goad people to watch their responses. Do you deny this?

"I was stating where I stood politically. And you call me a troll for doing so?"

Nope, I called you a troll because in another thread you admitted to trolling.

I believe that religion should be kept out of politics and that it should be kept off of public government buildings.

I do not care if gay couples have civil unions or marriages. I am not gay so it doesn't affect me.

Just these two issues alone make you fall to the left... Most righties are christies and one man one woman loonies. Tho, I tend to fall more to the left, I won't associate with them...

WHY? Because the left has it's hands in the Rights pocket as the Rights have hands in the lefts pocket. Why do they do this? Well, they do so to secure their jobs in the house and senate.... Not only that but they are BOTH corrupt and BOTH are nothing but full of lies and can be bought off if the money is good. They don't want you voting 3'rd party. Doing so would threaten the relationship between the two parties and well... You know how can you have a party and continue on with the lies and cheating of Americans if a third party rained in on your parade? That is way we will never see a third party come into play. Too much corruption....

The thing is, those 2 issues are wedge issues that the federal government cannot even affect!

Because even though you have many conservative view points, your viewpoints don't match the current Republican party at all. (which isn't a very conservative party at all, yet not liberal either, I'd say just nonsensical agenda pushers)
Literally, conservative means staying the course or not doing things anyway.

Looking at your viewpoints:
Small, fiscally responsible gov - Conservative viewpoint, doesn't match either party right now, but closer to Democrats right now

Abortion - Liberal, democrats

Death penalty - Fascist (j/k, but I wouldn't call it conservative), Republican, but you also disagree with the implementation, which can't be improved much without executions of innocents occurring as well

Religion off buildings and politics - Technically I'd call this conservative, and it's a democrat viewpoint

Don't care about civil unions - Neither, but Democrats right now if you would allow them to have their unions, republican otherwise

Taxed equally - Liberal, doesn't match either party right now except maybe some minor figures in the republican party

Political accountability - Erm, neither party really, slightly more democrats but only because they're the ones not in power right now (and thus are more eager to pursue it), I'd say this idea is neither conservative nor liberal, just a good idea for a successful government

No more SS - Conservative, somewhat Republican

No more welfare, plus new admissions to military school for the children of those who can't afford to keep them - Fascist (conservative would leave the children with the parents and trust them to figure their own way out), first part is republican, but no politician would ever entertain the idea of removing children from poor families

Closer to socialized health care - Liberal, democrat

AMT - how would you like it dealt with?

Higher minimum wage - Wouldn't classify this as conservative or liberal, but it's more of a democratic party viewpoint

No stance on guns - in the middle

Your views don't really match either party well, you're really more libertarian than anything.

We could take a huge chunk of the center if we'd just form our own party to uphold our beliefs in smaller government.
