How do I destroy CD/remove the dye!

get something sharp and scratch up the top of the cd, it seems to be easier to get to the foil that way, or you can just break them in half.
 
Take out outside, set it down upside-down, then put your shoe on top of it and slide it back and forth a bunch of times... after that, take a lighter and toast off the foil... and if it looks like it's still in any sort of good condition... just smash the hell out of it.

As long as the foil is destroyed and flakey, it won't read.

You could buy a commercial CD destroyer. We use one at work. It grinds both sides ans spits out a thin CD shaped plastic disc.
