How do I delete the IBM HPA from laptop?

I currently have a IBM T41p and want to delete the HPA so I can apply the restore disks again. I disabled the IBM predesktop in BIOS and was able to delete that part but I can still only see 57232 Mbytes in my 60 gb drive. Is this normal or is there still something hidden? Thanks.
